Jim Pez
I know colecovision has one and I think Atari has one but i could not find one for intellivision.
+DZ-Jay
What do you mean by an "Anthology Book"?
+intvsteve
I second DZ-s question -- could you clarify what you mean by that? To my knowledge, there's not currently a book exclusively devoted to the history of the Intellivision. Instead, you'll need to look at one of the (many) books that covers a wider range of material and live off the scraps in those.
mr_me
There's only one book on the history of Coleco, not just colecovision, that I know of. http://www.8-bitcentral.com/reviews/bookColecoOfficial.html There's several books on the Atari 2600 including "Art of Atari" which is a collection of artwork. Intymike
And it's also the first video-game book! One of many firsts. (but I doubt it)
+Tarzilla
There is one in progress, some of the attendees of PRGE had the pleasure of meeting the two gentlemen that are working on it.
+DZ-Jay
There is one in progress, some of the attendees of PRGE had the pleasure of meeting the two gentlemen that are working on it. Ooooh! Tell me more.
Intymike
As I understood it, the book is more about the Intellinerds than the Intellivision.
+Tarzilla
Ooooh! Tell me more. We met two Anthropology professors that are working on a book. We connected them with some tall, shampoo-hating dude that has some insight and connection to the inner workings of the Intelivision. +Tarzilla
As I understood it, the book is more about the Intellinerds than the Intellivision. Why would Anthropology professors be interested in writing a book about you, Rev, Cmart and the other Intelinerds?
carlsson
Perhaps they were professors in biological anthropology and figured they had found a new subspecies, Homo sapiens intelllivisionus?

+Steve Jones
Ask cmart, they were talking his ear off at dinner, from what I could hear the one chattier guy really liked KOOL AID MAN, a lot.
+intellivotion
such a shame, I didn't interact at all with those guys. I'm waiting for intellinerdity to be taught at university. I wonder if they considered Rev for an interesting case study. From Wikipedia: a case study is a research method involving an up-close (), in-depth ( :o ), and detailed examination of a subject of study (the case), as well as its related contextual conditions
+JasonlikesINTV
I spoke with them briefly and suggested they join AtariAge, so we may see them pay a visit. Both were really nice to talk to and passionate about the Intellivision. They are based out of Irvine, so lots of history right in their backyard.

+DZ-Jay
I was referring to a history book on intelivision. Ah, thanks. Well, I guess that has been answered many times over in this thread already. TL;DR: There isn't one There may be one in the works right now It may or may not be about C-mart and Rev.
catsfolly
Keith Robinson published tons of information about the Intellivision on the Intellivision Lives website. I'm sure it could have filled a book if he had gotten around to making one... http://www.intellivisionlives.com/history.php Catsfolly

IIRC there was some sort of a campaign to get a book published that he started off.... details escape me.

If any one does make a Book I think it should be called Mattel electronics. The book could be about the intellivision and also their other electronic gaming devices like the coleco book did. +nurmix
The book is being written by Tom Boellstorff and Braxton Soderman - both professors at University of California Irvine. I spoke to them at length at PRGE. Some of the information they're using in the book came from Intellivisionaries Podcast interviews I've done. I'll be working with them throughout the project as well.
