Kinda weird how pro-ADAM that article was. Was COLECO giving kick backs for positive press?

I feel the same way every time one the Seattle area TV stations does a pro Starbucks "story", usually on a bi-weekly basis. I guess being under the guise of news, some people see them as "trendy" or "relevant" somehow. It's not really newsworthy, but like you, I'm of the belief that these stealth commercials have a monetary aspect that benefits the station.

On the Coleco Adam's - Everyone one sold in the store I worked at came back or were broken in the box. I never saw a working ADAM.

I got to practice on a working Adam once. It was strange knowing it was a TMS9918, yet the BASIC command HPLOT matched AppleSoft.

Yeah that was intriguing to me at the time it was on the market, that it was applesoftish.. but minus the software library other systems had other than the collecovision titles.

I was intrigued and decided YouTube was the place to go to see a working Adam computer. The first video I came across was by our AtariAge friend, "The Immortal" John Hancock. Enjoy! icon_wink.gif
