Some Robotic Inspiration, and interesting page find..

Thank you VERY much for the link! i've been planning my own robotics project with the 800 myself, starting with Analog's 'Arm your Atari' article on connecting a Radioshack Armitron to an 800 via 3 controller ports. Though I plan on just using it as a starting point and redoing the entire project with a modern metal, heavy-duty robot arm that is actually durable enough to lift and move stuff heavier than a floppy disk, and not just a toy robot/robot arm.

My next step was going to get a robot base with treads on it and basically create a robot using the robot platform, robot arm and eventually install a 400 motherboard on it for for mobility and not on any restrictive cords to a stationary 800. I can use this stuff too. Eventually I hope to have a fully working robot "butler" than can freely move about my house fetching me things, with an Atari 8-bit brain at the core. I'm not interested in more modern options for the robot's brain. or any adriuno boards or whatever, I'm going all old-school on as much of the electronics as possible, using only the modern mechanical bits as much as possible only.
