Wink from Nintendo to Epyx/Atari?

Recommended Posts

I found this yesterday, check out the original Gameboy Japanese box "HANDY Game Machine" :-D Is that a little wink from Nintendo to Epyx/Atari? Or perhaps even a small middle finger if the story is true that Epyx tried to hard-sell the Handy to Nintendo and went out of line? :P

"Handy" in Japanese is Japanese-made English, and typically means "handheld" or "portable." For example, a lot of companies release products called "handy scanners" or whatever which would mean "handheld scanners."
