Shannon
16 hours ago, Jetboot Jack said: I've just gone back to the core in the latest version of RetroArch - it still has issues with sound, some games just sound wrong or have glitches/interference in the sound. It resets if you toggle the audio to 48K and the back to 44K, but when you next boot the core the audio issue is back - this is on Mac and PC (2 different machines), so not a hardware issue my end AFAIK. It also likes to crash if you fiddle with too many settings and the real deal breaker is it does not support extend memory properly ? Could you name a few games where the sound problems are obvious? I want to try them out. I've noticed the sound was off as well. Initially it just seemed overly distorted.. even for Atari 8-bit sound. Thanks. Mr Robot
The current Retroarch core is atari800 3.1.0 with some improvements made by @tschak909 The current version of atari800 is 4.1.0. 4.2.0 is coming out 'soon' Quite a lot has changed since April 2014 when 3.1.0 came out, if you identify some games with sound problems can you try them in the current version (or share the files here so I can)? if there's a problem with the current emulator an issue should be raised with the devs.
