Archiver/Editor 3.03 commands for Bad Sectors/manual?

Hi,

I am trying to create bad sectors on a track using the Editor part of the Archiver/Editor (version 3.03). I have the docs for version 1 (from the Internet Archive), but pressing the B key on a sector in a track loaded into the Editor gives different characters than those described on page 5-8 (see attached PDF).

The characters I get are: r shaped character, s, D, |, |-, p, d

Anyone know how to get the characters described in the original manual, or what the new characters mean (I think s means short sector, but that's only because I don't know how to set this up, and the Editor complains when I try and write this sort of sector)?

If anyone has a scan of the manual for 3.03, that would be really appreciated.

Short term work-around would be to use version 1.? of the Archiver/Editor, but I am still interested in what these new characters mean, and also how to get the same effects as the old version.

Also, the option line has changed a bit, I now get:

S:1 D:1 R:0,27 V- L+ C+ SK- F+ S+ P+

I am guessing SK is Skew, but no idea what P+ is, or where B+ went.

One thing to note, this is running on a drive with a BitWriter installed, just in case the Archiver/Editor behaves differently with this upgrade.

I want to create a test disk with as many different types of protection on it as possible, and as far as I know, the Archiver/Editor is the only way to do this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes.

Actually I got a very similar, if not identical document with my BitWriter, I just didn't notice this section. Am still curious how the bad sector types listed in the PDF are created with the 3.03 version, but I think I will try creating them with the Archiver/Editor 1.2, then see what 3.03 displays. Also intend to sit down and read the BitWriter document, especially before posting any more questions on this.

Thanks for the help!
