+Karl G
What finished homebrews are out there that are 2K in size? It is immensely challenging to fit a complete game in 2K, so I'm curious to see what others have accomplished. The only example that comes to mind is SpiceWare's Collect tutorial. +Karl G
Wow, 1K games...I can barely draw the screen with 1K, much less fit game logic. Edit: of course, I suppose those are gigantic compared to RAM Pong.
+Gemintronic
I made a game called Tornado Blast re-using the cut down kernel from Gate Racer. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/227982-tornado-blast-atari-2600-2k-homebrew/ Gate Racer by Atarius Maximus http://atariage.com/forums/topic/208953-my-2k-game-experiment-gate-racer/ I also took it as a personal challenge to re-create SpiceWares assembly tutorial 2k game in batari BASIC. Named it CollectbB. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/227708-collectbb-2k-demonstration-project/
s0c7
There used to be a minigame compo with 1k, 2k, and 4k categories that a lot of people from AA participated in. It was open to all platforms, so you were up against computers and other consoles. I participated a few times. Pirate (bB), but it was 4k. Star Hawk (2k bB game) http://atariage.com/forums/topic/112097-star-hawk/?p=1359450 Bifröst (It was 2k (asm) at the time, but is 4k now. It's more or less the exact same game, just has the speech sample now). http://atariage.com/forums/topic/143125-bifroest-2600/?p=1737232
+atari2600land
My game called "Explosive Diarrhea" and another one someone else did called "Muncher" are both 2k. Also, my celery game which 10 copies of were sold is 2k too.
