scotty
I have an Intec 32k memory board for an Atari 800 that just stopped working the other day. Are these things hard to troubleshoot and repair? If so, does anyone have any 16k boards they want to sell cheap?
Geister
I can't read all the LS chips on the board (the unsocketed chips). but I imagine finding replacements wouldn't be difficult. If you socket the LS chips you can try replacing them one by one until it either starts working again, or you can be certain the RAM is the problem. Since the ram is already socketed, you could buy a bunch of 4116 ram chips and replace all the chips. At that point, I'm sure the board would be working again and you could then work backward by inserting the old chips, one at a time, until the board fails again. Trash any chips that fail, and you can keep the rest as spares. Sometimes just removing and replacing the chips can fix a poor connection issue.
