motrucker
Why are so many people shooting themselves in the foot, choosing Amazon.com to market their latest and greatest? Don't you all realize how many of us C= user refuse to deal with the devil (Amazon.crap). Good luck anyway. I may have enjoyed the read....... carlsson
I do believe on demand printing, combined with huge platform which a lot of people already are customers to, are decisive factors. Not sure if Amazon's margins are lower than other publishers but their sheer volume and brand recognition probably makes them a first hand choice. However as noted those books tend to trickle into other resellers as well after a while.

motrucker
So do you live in cave too and travel hours on foot to the local library just post on AtariAge? I hope you didn't damage your little brain thinking that one up. Amazon is the reason, I don't deal with them. Usually this isn't a problem, and actually saves me money. BTW - I ride a bike that will easily top 170mph - to just give you an idea how far off your assumptions are. Always dangerous assuming things...... Always dangerous assuming things...... Oh please ... Like Amazon is any worse than any other huge mega corporation. Actually there are MANY far worse than Amazon! Let me list the three worst in my opinion: 1) Monsanto Company -- filthy rich off of agent orange, DDT, PCB, Round Up and other nasty well known chemicals and agents (https://www.collective-evolution.com/2014/10/07/monsantos-dirty-dozen-the-12-most-awful-products-made-by-monsanto ) 2) Union Carbide Corporation -- largest industrial accident in world (https://www.theatlantic.com/photo/2014/12/bhopal-the-worlds-worst-industrial-disaster-30-years-later/100864/) 3) IBM -- hit me personally as those bastards contaminated my home in a city I lived in upstate NY a few decades ago and IBM tried to hide/cover up / blame other companies for decades!!! (https://www.pressconnects.com/story/news/local/2019/03/03/ibm-endicott-toxic-plume-cost/3018697002 ) All three clearly more awful to the world than Amazon and the list can go on and on ...
