First Spear
I was playing a Turbografx game and was enjoying the use of the built-in turbo fire switches to make shots go 1X/2x/3x. Thinking it might be fun to have some kind of device that plugs in at the Intv II controller ports and allows the side buttons to have an artificially high rate of fire when enabled. A little Adafruit Trinket-sized device that allowed controller pass-through. What do you think? nb: Just because I havent posted a Wishing for a post in a while doesnt mean I dont have several of these bumping around in my brain, Im just getting better at de-prioritizing posting them. +Black_Tiger
Might makes it easier to become reality to open one of these up and try to replicate it with wiring for Intellivision buttons: https://segaretro.org/Rapid_Fire_Unit
Bamse
Nice idea. Of course, some games such as Astrosmash, Zaxxon, Space Hawk Super Cobra etc only allow two shots to be on screen at any one time. Demon attack, Carnival and Space Armada only allow one. I know Nova Blast allows multiple shots rapid fire but you can do this by holding the side button.
