RSS Bot
In my Protection for Bad Home Putters blog entry, I described my little home miniature golf setup. We had to put it away when we lived in an apartment, but now that we're in a house again, we got it back out.We were saving up money to have a guy mow our yard, but he never found the time, so I had to do it. My sister said we could spend some of the money on something fun and while we were out shopping the other day, we stumbled upon an officially licensed Skee-Ball tabletop game. It comes with 5 wooden balls. Each one is almost the size of a golf ball, so we thought we could play Skee-Ball Miniature Golf at home, especially since we got out the putting mat just a few days before. Here's a photo showing one of the wooden balls next to a real golf ball:Unlike the Callaway Kickback Putt Cup, the Skee-Ball game doesn't return the ball, but it's not difficult to pick up the balls with a grabber. Here are two photos of our Skee-Ball Miniature Golf setup:I made a video with my aging HD video camera:youtube.com/watch?v=fZFzXxo8-CoIf you want a setup similar to ours, below is what you'll need.Skee-Ball tabletop game: https://amzn.to/2I4O79nA long, straight putting mat: http://amzn.to/2mHnVqQA putter: https://amzn.to/2EXiCw0If you don't want to or can't bend over to pick up the balls, you'll need a grabber: https://amzn.to/2Uw1XbVIf you'd like to have more balls, you might want to get some practice foam golf balls since real golf balls are too heavy: https://amzn.to/2MwLFMVDisclaimer: Use this home version of Skee-Ball as a miniature golf game at your own risk.
