globeron
Mechatronic 128K Ram card (and Centronics PORT / PiO) It does not have a battery, so when the power is taken off the card, the programs stored in memory (DSKR = Disk Ram - are gone) Mechatronic-128Kbyte_and_centronics-(Man_and_addon_sheet)-(Ger).pdf To see the contents: DELETE "CATALOG" (strange way to list a directory) DELETE "RAMFORM" (wipes everything on the Ramdisk DSKR) SAVE DSKR OLD DSKR Video:
apersson850
DELETE was used because it was a command that could be executed without any CALL and without a file open.

ti99iuc
@Schmitzi It was a scan from my site. If the logo was disgusting you, why do not do your own scan instead of ripping off mine? I'm quite upset of this approach that does not respect the work done by other people in the community!
RXB
Looks like it was just a RAMDISK? No memory at all on it. Calling it RAM is deceptively a lie.

I'm quite upset of this approach that does not respect the work done by other people in the community! @ti99iuc To give you the right answer, the best way is just to use your own words precisely: This was a PDF that a good friend of mine made for gift to me I do not know much about how he moved to get this disturbing ad-page out, surely he will have been inspired by the known ways. In fact I don't think he released this PDF as opensource. When i need it he send to me. The basis of everything is for use among us fans, the love for the TI-99/4A and how much more you can make the most of it without damaging anyone. The intent is not to remove cheap advertisings from anyone, let alone get rich (as in fact it does not happen, on the contrary ??). SAMS has 1Meg or 4Meg of RAM switchable in 4K to 32K at a time, the Mechatronics is no different then a Horizon or Corcomp RAMdisk. Having 32K on board is no different then just using a RAMdisk and a 32K card. RAM is hundreds of times faster then a RAMdisk for good reasons as one is instant and the other has to save or load. Asmusr
If your starting point was a plain console, I think having 32K RAM and a 96K RAM disk would have appealed to many people.

Exactly, the way how my father used this device I remember as a kid was as to use it as a portable device with a cassette recorder to load programs. at another location (events, etc.) but had to keep the power always on . I sold the device in the big sale last year. Just made the videos to share with everyone and to remember the device in action (on TI99 VIDEOS channel on youtube).
