mr_me
You'd have to choose one that's windows 98 compatible. Wikipedia says pentium 4 was in production from 2000 to 2008.
Osgeld
yea and 98 ended support in 2002 so if you average gamer wanting a 98 box that dual boots into xp realisticly you can expect stuff to be SOL 1-2 years after XP was introduced, which puts you in the sub 2 ghz range of XP machines which is not enough horsepower to run something like half life 2 at which point you have to ask, is it worth having a power hungry cap timebomb machine that MAY just MAY play some late era windows 98 games while not being able to play the vast majority of win XP games or just find a 50$ PIII laptop ... that will probally perform just as well as a P4 in win98 applications and leave all the post 2003 era shit to a modern computer, you will be blown away playing psyconauts on a modern HD machine anyway and by modern I mean within the last 10-15 years which ill give you one for the price of postage, my stupid 2008 era garage computer can play GTA4 in low quality at 720p while whipping the shit out of a P4 extreme and being just as incompatible with 98 Edited July 25, 2019 by Osgeld
