Tidus79001
Has anyone tested this with an Atari 7800 and confirmed if both buttons work independently of each other for 7800 2 button games?
Trebor
The two buttons layout is to accommodate left and right handed players equally on the 2600. It is not for compatibility with Atari 7800 2-button games.
SS
This would be very awkward button placement for 2-button 7800 games.

Yes, other people have suggested hacking it for separate 7800 buttons. But there are some 2 button games that would be really hard to play with the 2 button placement on the Trooper. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
Jinks
Not meaning to be rude. But as a 2 button stick would be useless. Only looks good for left or right handed 2600 players.
Machine
Putting the second button on the front, so you can hit it with your pointer finger would be slightly better.....
