Redmiller
Anyone happen to have a Power Cord for the 7800 they would like to sell? Thanks
+-^CrossBow^-
Best bets are eBay or contacting Brad at Best Electronics as he recently developed new replacement 7800 power adapters. Another option, though less elegant, is to have a second power port added to your 7800 to allow for something more easily found. Like the ability to use a sega master system or genesis power supply. orange808
If an RGB board arrives, I imagine installers could easily upsell a power modification option to almost every customer. Hopefully, it will all come together.
+-^CrossBow^-
I offer this already as part of the list of things I can do on the 7800. Accept what I do is to wire in a second power port in parrallel with the original. It isn't attached to the console and instead it is attached via wiring that is anchored down to the mainboard and then out through a vent slot with about 6 - 8 inches of wire. Again, not the most elegant but it works and is still in the rear where it isn't seen openly. Plus you can then use either power port and the extra one removed pretty easily if you decided to go all stock later.
0078265317
Can you use a uk version with a voltage converter? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F183968802766
+sixersfan105
Hot damn, these go for $50 now on eBay?! That's wild. Definitely go the Best Electronics route. They're aftermarket but a lot cheaper than OEM on eBay and get the job done just fine.

+sixersfan105
Plus shipping or including? I wouldn't use a UK one. You're much better off with a Best version.

+-^CrossBow^-
I think one of the best and cheapest options is to wire in a barrel jack like I mentioned above and pair it with one of these: I just ordered 2 last week. One is powering one of my Roland modules as it without any issues and the other I will convert into a 7800 PSU for general use. https://console5.com/store/9v-1300ma-ul-certified-power-supply-transformer-for-sega-genesis-cd-nes-aes-tg16-100v-240v.html

Ya, you go right ahead and plug that into your 7800 in the good ol' USA and let us all know how that works out for ya.
