Giles N
I just bought a portable guitar-amp and plugged into the headphone-out on the TV. Despite some noise from the Amp (it wasn’t very expensive, I felt common 7800 sound (that is; no use of Pokey or PokeyOne, only the old one from the 2600), got improved to Sega Master or NES quality, even at times up there with some C64 sound. Yeah yeah, I know it ain’t a technically advanced or sophistacted solution, but at least it’s fun to hear the greater part of 7800 games actually sound much better... +SmittyB
I've considered doing the same thing with a gameboy. You should go nuts and stick a wah pedal in there somewhere.

As it is now, I just would like to find an optimal ‘universal’ set-up for Amp-settings to get best out-put both for music and sound-effects for all games, or as many games as possible. Perhaps I won’t get there with one item, but I felt music and sound got lots more depth and - for my taste - quality. But I didn’t get rid of the Amp-noise. So, well, give and take so far.
