StephenJ
Hello, I’m in the process of modding my 2600 4-Switch…S-Video/Composite/Stereo. I noticed, on the 2600 motherboard, that the Pin connections #12 and #13, of the TIA chip-socket ,are soldered together (see attached photo). I Googled for the TIA Chip pinouts and discovered that these are “AUD1” and “AUD0”. Note: Both pins have separate connections on the Mod board. My question is, do I need to break this solder connection, between these two pins, in order to allow for stereo sound? Thanks, StephenJ
ChildOfCv
To put each AUD on its own channel, yes you have to separate the connection. Now, whether you actually WANT to do that or not, is another question. Atari games weren't designed with stereo in mind. They just have two channels available to bloop at you.
