Bee
So I have an original Rtime 8 and Sparta Dos X. I got an updated TDline from here - Fix link? However my Day of the week is off. I setup an emulator on my Mac and it is doing the same thing. Anyone know how to fix this? Thank you

Roydea6
Try Rtime8 instead of tdline I believe that TD ON after Rtime8.com should be a good date. It has been years since I used my old Rtime8 cartridge with any SpartaDos X cartridge below version 4.42 .
+bf2k+
I am pretty sure the CTH TDLINE.COM is for SpartaDOS 3... I see you are running SDX. Maybe a different one is required for SDX.
itzmike
I know the newer TDLINE 's from the Sparta update project do work. That being said, about 20 years ago I patched my TDLINE.com on SDX 4.22 and renamed it TDD.com and it worked fine for years following Y2K . From Comp.Sys.Atari.8bit Okay ... I want you to go to the archives and find a program called "Bedit.com" by Bill Aycock I believe. Next, pull a copy of TD.COM from your SDX cart (type car:td.com >>td.com) Now, using Bedit, edit your TD.COM. (R) reads the file into Bedit. Go to byte 426 using the goto command (G). This is the start of a 12 byte table. Increment the 12 bytes by 1. e.g 00, 03, 03, 06, 01 becomes 01, 04, 04, 07, 02 the command is, =01 or what ever the required byte is. Write the file to a disk (W) a name other than TD.COM (TDD.COM) .. and load it insted of TD.COM when you next boot SDX ... you're day of the week is now correct. The existing 12 bytes will be: 00 03 03 06 01 04 06 02 05 00 03 05 followed by the days of the week first letter table SSMTWTF Hope this helps
Marius
Is there any chance the day of the week is also written in a nvram register in the rt8 chip? In the ds1307 this can be done. Perhaps this is the case and you might need to reset the date again running a new version of tdline so this register is set right too. Iirc in sdx the td line simply displays what is in the rt8. 2 days off actually confirms this idea.
Bee
I'm going to try the "itzmike" fix today if I can get a file to write to my SDrive-MAX. I'm just getting back to my A8 collection. I have a few "toys" in mail - Side2,SIO2PC rev2 with a Micro USB port. Right now I have a real Sparta DOS X cart on a EXGS(stock) with an Original RTime8 Cart I soldered a battery socket into around 1999. I have a good working Indust GT Drive but no disks to write to, all my 1050 drives are dead. I will look at reviving the 1050s later maybe. Thanks for the help - Once I have something working I'll share it.

Bee
Ok all is well in the world of Atari 8 Bit for me The Side 2 Carts arrived and it's internal TD on is spot on. I'm still trying to figure my way around in it but it is defiantly the best update for me to brige 20 years of changes. I have a stock 130XE needs a Q key fixed but otherwise in good shape. It's a Side2 Cart with a 16gb CF FJC firmware. I'm trying toi figure out how to get BasicXE and Action on it. I'm going to do a write up on getting from my old kit to my current setup once I get this working I can start coding a DB. Thanks for all the help
