Session 20: Asymmetrical Playfields - Part 3

Yep, you can shift and resize the ball (and the missiles) to create other "sprites". I cover that in my presentation, using Hunchy II as an example as all of the bells you have to collect were drawn using Missile 0.

They can even be used as moving "sprites", Dark Cavern uses that to great effect.

SpiceWare! the green escalator (ladder) in keystone kapers (on the 1st screen) is a (close to) 48 (color clocks) in widht!!! how could this be? (at least stella is saying so)

Also on Donkey Kong.. wow the playfield is like an art drawing! it is not repeated nor mirrored! how did they do that? is that the asymmetrical one?

You can shift the objects left/right on every scanline, it's how I drew the dragon in Medieval Mayhem. This early build shows it off with the red and yellow players in the middle

Yes Donkey Kong would be using an asymmetrical playfield.
