moonlight_mile
Hey guys, couple months ago I got an ATR-8000. I finally got around to getting it out. Haven’t tested it yet but I did dump the rom if anyone is interested. I included some pics in case there is something else interesting about this particular unit. Bee
I always wanted to hook up the 8 inch drives from my IMSAI 8080 to an ATR8000. Wish I didn't sell them off in the 80's. The ATR is a cool toy I had one for a few years. Thank you
tschak909
Am going to guess from the style of the IEC power connector on this ATR, that this is a mid-1982 unit, and probably has the 1982 ROM. The 1984 ROM fixed quite a few disk reading compatibility issues. -Thom
+Nezgar
Thanks for dumping it @moonlight_mile! Comparing the only other ROM dump I have from an ATR-8000, CRC32 739BAB7, it is the same as the 3.02 ROM dump from here: http://atariki.krap.pl/index.php/ATR_8000 (maybe more places) Interestingly, both ROM dumps identify themselves in the last 16 bytes with the the same ASCII string "ATR8000 ver 3.02", but moonlight_mile's ROM has 18 bytes different from $F0F-F20. @tschak909 do you have a dump of the "1984" ROM to compare?
StartedWith400
If you still have that ATR8000 out, I am trying to figure out what R15 and R35 connect to. They are not in any schematic but have been there since Rev. A of the circuit board (I've seen them in all pictures I have of Rev. A, Rev. B , and Rev. C PCBAs). Since I don't have access to an ATR8000, could someone please figure out where those resistor go in the circuit? I would really appreciate it.
