Atariperson23
Well, i'm going to have to come back on this game. I can't really figure out how to play this game, no matter how much times i've tried. I can't find a manual for this, which is weird, and no one I know seems to know how to play Thrust. Can anyone help? Please? Maybe someone at XYPE?
+wongojack
It's based on the C64 version which you can find the manual for here: https://archive.org/details/Thrust_1986_Firebird_Software/mode/2up On 2600, I know it is designed to use the booster grip, and I believe there is a version that will work with a Sega pad, but it has been a while since I've played it. I really thought there was a way to play with a standard joystick too but maybe not.

It works with a standard joystick as well. You just have to know that when you press down, fire works as thrust. That way you can easily pickup fuel and the pod.
davyK
Yep. Plays great with a standard stick. Once you figure out how to pick up the pods it's really quite intuitive. It's amazing how good control schemes for more complex games can be squeezed out of a 1 button 8 way stick! +Karl G
Well, crap. I'd better enjoy the game while I can, then.
