+kheller2
So what Atari item do you wish you had but don't? I know we all are going to mention a 1450XLD, but I'm trying to get at the more common things. I'll go first... I don't own a 400. Out of the dozens of XL's, XE's, half dozen 800s, I don't own a single 400. It might be nice to obtain one someday. I don't own any XL carts in an XEGS case. I don't own a black beauty XL power supply, but I own two white beauty queens. 850 in a metal case.. Why not? Hmm, I just realized this could get long if I start thinking about boxes... ? rdefabri
There are quite a few things I wish I had - I'd like a 130XE, and a Midi Mate. Outside of the 8-bits, I'd love a 1040ST or a Falcon 030. I do music work, and I'd love to have one running the last version of Cubase to do music production (I do it today on a WinTel laptop running Cubase, but I don't have a direct MIDI connection). I still have my original 400, and a ton of SW. Probably not much there I'd want.

SS
I wanted a 400 for years and finally managed to scratch that itch last autumn. This made me pretty happy and I've kind of decided that I don't really need to get any more systems for the time being. Maybe one of these days I'll get a 1200XL or a XEGS too but they're way on the back burner for now; I am quite satisfied with what I have right now. The only other piece of hardware that I am still kind of covetous of would be an Indus GT floppy drive. I have no real need of one since I already own a 1050, SIO2SD, and SDrive-MAX but the Indus GT is just so darned cool looking. Maybe if I get anything else "new" this year it will be one of these. Caterpiggle
I always want Prototype Atari 1600XLD. The beauty of the "beast" machine ! Ha .... Edited March 7, 2020 by Caterpiggle
jamm
Still looking for a good 1200XL. I love the 70's aesthetic of the 400/800 line, so I'm collecting some of their peripherals. The 822 40-column thermal printer is such an odd little thing that I'd love to have one, but they're rare and going for hundreds of dollars on eBay. bfollowell
I wish I still had my original 800, 410 Program Recorder, and Rana 1000 Disk Drive. Oh, and, while not Atari, I wish I had all of the PC 5.25" & 3.5" drives I threw away over the years, long ago.
Flojomojo
I'd like their entire brand and trademark portfolio, including rights to publish all of the old games. I would stop suing people, discontinue dopey ventures like hotels, casino machines, and "VCS." I would release everything into the public domain where it belongs. It could be adopted and remixed by developers, artists, and homebrewers. Alternatively, it could simply be forgotten, except by those who remember it fondly. Even resting in peace would be a better fate than the joke that it is today. Make it a cool old idea, not a monetized "lifecycle brand" run by trademark trolls.
adam242
It's a long list, for sure... but near the top, I'd like to obtain a genuine PAL XL or XE to properly enjoy all the great software coming out of Europe. I have ANTIC-swapped one of my 800s, but it's only a 90% (or so) solution. And I still need to find a stereo POKEY board that fits an 800. TGB1718
I have 2 130XE's and an 800 with a couple of 1050's too but the one thing I always wanted was an 850 interface and maybe some day a 400 (in reality I want all I can get my hands on ?) Well there is this (100% MIDIMATE compatible, minus sync jacks)... SIO2MIDI It's a DIY project, but if there were enough interest perhaps MacRorie would be willing to offer a pre-assembled version from his 'The Brewing Academy' website. There is also an XL style case in the works, but due to the creator being under the weather that might be a ways off. However the XE style case design pictured above is presently available as an STL for 3D printing, thanks to Mr Robot .
Guest
i've owned/own most of the things i really wanted: Arabic 65XEN, Secam 130XE, Chelco 600XL and Chelco 800XL, IS Plate 1050, Quintopus, Hebrew 800XL however, if the thread includes software: Lance Haffner's 3-in-1 College and Pro Football (sigh) Edited March 8, 2020 by Guest
BassGuitari
XF551 disk drive to go with my XEGS, an 810 that actually works, and an 800 with the "key-clicks" intact.
Preppie
Pretty simple here, I want an 800 with incognito. It still upsets me thinking that my old 800 somehow made it's way from the attic to the dump Thinking back, I'm pretty sure all it needed was a resistor replacing. Will have to make do with the 800XL I replaced it with, not sure I can justify the expense of an 800 as UK prices are a bit crazy.

I'm handy, but would prefer a fully built option. I see there's SW too, I would love to explore this more...thanks for the heads up!

The reason I want this version of Robotron again is that the box converts into holders for two standard Atari VCS joysticks so you can play the game with two sticks like in the arcade. But not before you create a cardbox replica, right? Wouldn't want to ruin the original box.
