Resident Evil 3 Remake

Anyone else going to pick this up? Definitely a strange twist of fate it's being released now. Anyways, even though I loved Doom 2016, my current PC probably couldn't handle the new one at an acceptable frame rate and resolution. Rather than getting it for consoles, I decided to get Resident Evil 3 instead. I played through the demo and it felt like the RE2 Remake with an updated dodge mechanic, which I think is perfect. Hopefully Capcom will still keep showing the series this kind of love in the future. Sure would be nice if Konami got a soul and did something worthwhile with Silent Hill.

I haven't because Im waiting to play the original first. I've been trying to avoid videos of it but from what little I saw, it looked great.

It's pretty short, like the original, and fairly light on content. They have an item shop to purchase stuff like an infinite rocket launcher, but no mercenaries mode. It's still very fun and controls much nicer than the RE2 Remake. I've played through this probably five times, and I still plan on doing more. The Nemesis encounters are pretty linear, which is kind of disappointing. While I love this game, it doesn't really deserve the full price it's asking. Since I don't have home internet, I can't comment on the multiplayer game, so that may up the value for some people.

The remake is the cliff notes adapted for television version of the original, way less everything, it is still a good game.

Multiplayer is fun but lacks any match making balancing
