Omega-TI
Many of us have been in the TI hobby for a while now and have mostly everything we "currently" want, but for newbies and returning TI'ers, this so-called "stimulus" could accelerate your return to "full-system status". So, are you going to bank it all, or use this as an excuse to buy a few TI items? If so, what are your plans?
xabin
Not sure what I'd do with it, if I get one; if my boyfriend gets one, he's likely going to upgrade his PC to something better than the laptop he has, now.
DavidC
Well, I just ordered a FinalGrom, I aint sure if the "stimulus check" had anything to do with that decision..I would of done it anyway. My credit card company LOVES me. lol.

MikeV
I understand the checks will be issued alphabetically, a few every month, so I might have a bit of a wait!

In the mean time, it never hurts to consider ones options.

twoodland
(insert TI-99/4A emoticon here) Well if the F18a Mk2 (https://dnotq.io/) is released.... I would not be able to resist.

+Vorticon
I would say save it for now as we're not out of the woods yet. Hopefully in a few months you can spend it all and do your part in reviving the economy
Kchula-Rrit
If I get a check, it would go for an F18A, IDE controller, and a keyboard interface. Would like to find some courage to open-up either of my consoles and do some of these RAM modifications I've read about. I have a couple of 74LS612s that are just dying to go into service. Then, there's always model trains, or maybe food. K-R.

There is a sideport 1M SAMS card or a 1M PEB SAMS card that use it. I do sell bare boards if you want to build one for the PEB. . .it is a pretty straightforward build. JB
I'm gonna spend my entire check on lotto tickets. This seems the most fiscally sound investment. With 1200 tickets, I can't lose!

Omega-TI
Here we go again, a possible round two, so if you missed exploiting the last one due to your old lady, this time just tell her, "My Turn!"

wierd_w
what old lady? I have no such problem. Last round went to new tires on my winter vehicle though. This round, will probably go to stocking the deepfreeze for the winter. Edited July 27, 2020 by wierd_w
digdugnate
my serious answer is yet more stuff that needs fixed around the house. If we get the second 'stimmy', that's going into a wheelchair ramp on our front porch for Mrs. Digdug and probably a new back door for the utility room. We also need to repaint Digdug Junior's room since he picked the color seven years ago and now does not like it. (little does he know that while we'll buy the paint, he's gonna repaint it if he wants it that bad) my less-serious answer is where i cry that because of all the stimulus checks it'll be still super hard to find a Nintendo Switch console.
wierd_w
Seriously-- Just build one. It's probably gonna be cheaper. https://imgur.com/gallery/ku9zlNu

+adamantyr
I didn't get one before, even though I was on furlough, and I won't get one now. The peril of making TOO much money I suppose.
