Randy
Well, I finally got the Gotek to flash and have it in the 1040 temporarily, I just need to get some files on it to try out the Gotek to make sure it is working properly. I have noted issues with FDD in this machine, both the original and the Teac replacement did not work, not sure if it is the drive or if there is something on the main board (WD 1772?) that is the problem. At any rate, the Gotek menu does come up and presents me with a list of the files on the Gotek so I am guessing the FDD controller is probably working, correct? Randy
Thanks so much everyone, I did download a couple from these sites to get the .st files and put them on my Gotek, unfortunately my 1040 is still not loading any files other than the loader screen, and even that is now coming up only occasionally.
