Spector
I want to develop a post I made elsewhere and ask about a bunch of homebrews I've learned about only fairly recently. Damn there's so many, but I need some opinions! So here are the games that I want to know a bit more about. Have you played them? Are they any good? Armageddon Bagman Bomb n Blast Elevator Action Digger Hang On Joust (pixelboy remix) Gulkave Light Grid Racing Locomotion Mindwalls Nibbli Ozma Wars Rip Cord Track And Field Star Force Rip Cord Side Trak I told you it was a big list! If you've played any of those games, I'd really appreciate it if you could tell me what you think so I could look into maybe getting some of them, though I suspect the Pixelboy ones are mostly out of print. Give me your opinions NOW!! Edited May 11, 2020 by Spector
mumbai
IIRC, Bagman has a playability issue. You can search the forums here for the discussion. I want to say that Side Trak was bugged on its initial release, but I may be mixing that up with another title. People seem to really enjoy Rip Cord. (Waitaminnit, those aren't my opinions at all, are they?)

The thread kind of got heated. It looks good though, no question.

youki
Armageddon : good Missile command clone (playable with roller controller) Bagman : very good , i personnally don't have issue with playability. But i use joystick modified by yurkie with ball knob. I guess with old standard joystick it could be more difficult. Bomb n Blast : a very good tetris like game Elevator Action : don't like to much that version Digger : love that game Hang On : not fan of this adaptation but considering the limitation of the console , it is not so bad Joust (pixelboy remix) : fun when 2 players Gulkave : Not my cup of tea , i have difficulty with this kind of game when the scrolling is not smooth. (unfortunately on colecovision you have not real choice). Light Grid Racing : did not try it yet Locomotion : did not try it yet Mindwalls : good arkanoid like game! Nibbli : i LOVE it . one of my favorite colecovision game. Ozma Wars ; don't like Rip Cord : a little Gem , i love it . Track And Field : good with the track and field controller. Star Force : same problem that gulkave for me , the scrolling. Otherwise good game Side Trak : very well done, but not fan.
