freshbrood
Version 1.0 build 568 on Win 7 64 bit, often (about half the time) whenever I try to paste even a small line of code the program will scroll endlessly and crash. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a newer version of Visual bB I should be using? This is driving me crazy. +Random Terrain
Have you tried turning off Enable Syntax Checking on the Start page?

+Gemintronic
VisualbB hasn't been actively maintained for many moons. I think eventually we'll all need to move on over to Atari Dev Studio https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=chunkypixel.atari-dev-studio
RevEng
^^ this, one hundred times ^^ If there's something vbb is giving you that isn't in ADS, put in the request. Worst case keep vbb around for generating data in the meantime, possibly in an old OS vm, if microsoft has obsoleted vbb for you. @mksmith has done an amazing job in a short time with Atari Dev Studio. ?

Can the titlescreen editor be turned into a freestanding program? Haven't been able to do titlescreens since switching over.
RevEng
I am probably the wrong person to answer this, since I didn't use vbb before (I'm on Linux) but I thought I recalled running the vBB titlescreen editor in wine, outside of vbb. (which didn't work in wine) so maybe it's already stand-alone?
RevEng
Well, just to confirm my own post, you can run the "ImgtoCode.exe" titlescreen program outside of the main visual bB GUI.
