What's your favourite TI-99 game input method in games with fairly conventional (e.g., directional+fire) arcade controls?

Depends on the game.... usually I prefer my Suncom Tac-2 joystick, but for games that need really quick orthogonal movement, like MunchMan, the old TI painsticks with their short throw can't be beat.

I had to choose "other" because I'm using a home brew joystick using the cable off of a pair of TI joysticks.  So it's not "Atari compatible" or "TI wired controllers".

I didn't mean to imply by "Third Party (e.g., Atari-compatible)" that Atari-compatible joysticks were the only third party joysticks.  Indeed, I use a hacked controller quite a bit myself.

 

Though I answered "ESDX control", which tends to be my baseline preference, except in games that are very much eight-directional rather than four-directional.  In which cases I tend to use my Wico Command Control.
