+swlovinist
I have had a rare cart in my collection for some time. It is a blue TYMAC cart and it wont load on my vic 20. Any Suggestions to get it working? The casing is unique and dont want to destroy the cart to open it up. Any suggestions are welcome. carlsson
Have you cleaned the contacts? The least invasive method would be a Q-tip with some isopropanol alcohol. If it is really grubby, try a pencil eraser on the contacts and afterwards wipe with the alcohol. If that doesn't help, possibly something is broken inside. Also sometimes the cartridge slot might not get contact with all the pins even after cleaning. You can try to gently wiggle the cartridge upwards once inserted, or if you have an expansion unit put it vertically into it.
motrucker
The cartridge port might need a thorough cleaning. Not an easy job, but...... This can happen on the C-64 and/or the VIC 20.
