JayAre
Just added this button to the ole collection; I had never seen it before. Got it from a seller in the U.K., so maybe it was never available in the U.S.
JayAre
Just updating the thread with another cool Activision button. Anyone else think that the Gaping Holes tagline is rather, um, suggestive? 2

I'm going to have to take your word for it. Don't want to have to scrub my search history. I do like the button though and I really like the "I've endured Enduro" button. That's fitting.

mr.bill
I was looking around and I could not find an atari memorabilia page, so I thought to dump this here and let someone move it. I have atari I love video games bumper sticker, dig dug bumper sticker, firefox store window sticker, and a konami sticker. The firefox is reversed to stick inside a window. I had never seen this before. I especially like the Dig Dug bumper sticker. Thanks so much for sharing these.

mr.bill
no problem. If there is a dedicated atari thread for memorabilia, let me know and I will post there(or feel free to move it). I could not find anything. I did find a thread about the 5year pin. Someone found one a few years ago and thought it was a 20 year pin. I posted there with a pic. here is a resin area 51 alien. I was told Atari made 3 of them. 2 of them were painted up. this one was the spare. Dont know what happened to the other 2.
JayAre
A friend, who worked at Activision in the early 80s, was telling me that, in 1984, the company was in the process of downsizing due to the crash. Activision hired a guy to come in and start clearing up space and throwing things away. He asked my friend if she wanted some of the items, and she said yes. Here are a couple of them: some 3-ring binders that were found in one of the company's conference rooms at the main office in Mountain View, CA. That first binder is pretty interesting, with the phrase "Activision - Day One - Day Two - Day Three - Day Four". I asked her what this was referring to, but she doesn't recall. It was just too long ago. I'm assuming it was some kind of internal company slogan. Edited October 21, 2021 by JayAre
mr.bill
I just picked this centipede belt buckle up. Never seen one of these before. Sort of not really made by atari. Was done in when they were atari interactive(hasbro 98-01). Maybe it has something to do with the atari/hasbro pc released game in 98? RJ
Anyone interested in this? The following is the text I posted with these pics in a local Retrogaming group from a few years back: (From 9/25//2018) "Garage sale GIVE last Saturday! Went there for a mic stand & asked about video games, lady mentions her husband worked for Activision locally 2000-2015. He comes out of the house & I say I'm a big retro fan & played the Activision carts in the 80s. He says "I met one of those first 4 original programmers" Maybe David Crane the Pitfall guy. Then he walks over to a clothes rack, grabs this jacket & hands it to me! This was slated to be Activision's "sports line" of games, but Tony Hawk bailed on his contract with them or somesuch thing (I was too awestruck to pay full attention). Best part- I asked about vintage Activision ANYTHING, & she said they have an entire storage room they need to empty out, & they'll LMK if anything interesting pops up!" RJ
Unfortunately I never heard back about their storage room cleanout. The jacket was too small for me so I never wore it; it's been hanging in my closet with my dress shirts which I also dont wear. ??
