Dinadan67
I have the TK-II Stereo with an older firmware (1.75) an tried to flash the current v2.4 with a PICkit3 programmer. I always get the message "Target not found". Has anyone successfuly flashed the TK II using this kind of USB programmer?
+DrVenkman
Is your cable connected the right way around, and to the correct header on the TK-II board?
Dinadan67
I tried the cable both ways around. The header is the correct according to this thread: Edited August 15, 2020 by Dinadan67
+mytek
Here's how it should get connected for flashing the PIC, which looks like what you did. I've programmed my boards this way using either a PICkit2 (should work whether or not the board is installed) or a JOY2PIC (this will only work with the board not installed and no Pokeys present). Never used a PICkit3, although it should work the same.
chevymad
I've only used the pickit3 to program the chips themselves. However, I need to go into the power menu, select power from tool, then change the voltage down 1 or 2 selections from 5v(because china copy pickit). Otherwise I get the error you do.
Dinadan67
Many thanks! After setting the voltage to 2.125v manually in the advanced settings mode, the programming worked without problems.
