Hi,
This will work like a floppy disc drive so you can load and save disc images.

Please check the topic for newbies, this will explain more

THere are other options such as SDrive_max etc which may work out to be be cheaper. Youtube is also a good place to watch these devices in action

Personally I prefer the sdrive or the AVG cart+sio cable mod

glad to be of help, where in the world are you? THe Brewing Academy in the USA seems to be the go to Stateside https://thebrewingacademy.com/products/atari-sdrive-max
Or https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/8Bit-Tronics is a UK AtariAge member selling in europe.

They are easy and cheap to make yourself https://atari8bit.net/de-re-sdrive-max/

Welcome back!

Many thanks for hint.

I found some differences in between AVGCart and UnoCart A8 but I am interesting for which reason you prefer AVGCart instead of UnoCart personaly please?

I ordered my Sdrive_Max but my buddy look for cheaper and self powered solution like UnoCart or so. So we will be happy to get more info from experienced guys here...:)

Thanks

Petr

UNOCart has smaller RAM available and so cannot run the larger xex/atr&rom images that the AVG/Ultimate and The!Cart can handle.

Out of those I only have the UNOCart and happy with it for other reasons (I can program it to do other things ;)) but would agree with others that you can't really go wrong with the AVG cart at this point in time.
