I never bothered, seemed a waste of time, but I remember people sending in complaint mail about publishing a program that would destroy your computer and the editor's editorial assuring people it wouldn't really damage your Atari! LOL! Gullible people...was that in an April edition of Antic? (April fools) I do remember the article being pretty deadpan about it though, I don't think they let people off the hook with an April Fools at the end (I could be wrong). It was Analog Magazine. 1987ish (give or take a year) The main reason I didn't fall for it was that I believed it to be impossible to damage your computer through code. Now I know that's not always the case, but I don't think you can hurt an Atari with code, unless you wipe a disk or something 5 hours ago, Gunstar said: Maybe I'll have to type it in or find the magazine disk ATR it was on. As I said, I never tried it, at the time I just felt it was a waste of time to spend typing in a program that just makes it look like it's destroying the Atari. I think I downloaded a copy from a BBS, there's no way I could have typed in all that machine code without making an error or 30. If you can't find it, I can post a copy. EDIT: Somebody beat me to posting 6 hours ago, StickJock said: I thought that Paperweight was a great demo! The "static" (remember static?) was really realistic! The little "glitches" on the screen, with the accompanying glitchy sound..., it was all really well done. I was in awe of how realistic the static was, it even survived a reset! +therealbountybob
Yes I'm a big fan of BASIC games, and HSC regulars will know I'm always sneaking them in as a bonus, did run a "Best of Basic" round once too. If anyone does create anything homebrew we will play it, just let me know New season has just started: https://atariage.com/forums/forum/60-8-bit-high-score-club/
