Igor
Hello! I've had a number of people requesting various updates to the Atari Gamer website (atarigamer.com) so I thought that I'd start a thread about it. If you have any updates or notice any bugs or weird behaviour please post about it here and I'll see what I can do to address it. Thanks! Igor
The 'Featured' menu item now lists the 'Events' link, which is where you will find programming competition event listings, among other things that I'll be adding as 'events'. The game info page now shows the play count for a game and if it's part of a ranked event, it shows the place that the entry scored in at. The game play page also shows the event and scoring place and play count (under the ratings, not shown in this screenshot).
Fadest
Nice addition. As I'm curious, I checked my games entries, and the most played on your site is... Igor
Hehe maybe you need to give your new games more racy names
Igor
After talking a bit with @Fadest about his Tropsy release, I've decided to add an April Fools' hint under the release date. Here's my game's (Turkey Puncher 3) info page... https://atarigamer.com/lynx/game/TurkeyPuncher3HyperPunchingAprilFools2019/373540146 It might be a give-away to some people but it feels right to have this hint.
Fadest
Did you intend to mean Sage ?
Igor
Yes I did mean @sage ? Don't respond after having an IPA! ?
sage
https://atarigamer.com/news/1f2jt9jxbls Actually the game has been castrated to a demo version by blocking some sub menus and adding the slideshow Nothing a real hacker could change ? Goal was to have 8 players (as you can guess from the menu), but it is just impossible to find that persons in one room this time.

Igor
Thanks! I've updated the game page. Also put the cart on my desk now so I will have a better play to see if I can find the hidden game.
sage
nice. I wonder if you want to add the CC and Lemmings ROMs with new levels, as well as the patched Battlezone and Xenophobe, too.
Igor
Are those ROMs available somewhere? I've seen quite a few Lemmings levels ROMs, if it's those you mean I probably won't be adding that.
sage
there are somewhere here in the forum. as there are only around 30 new levels for lemmings, i did not bother to puit them all into one rom yet, thus there are 30 different roms for cc i dont actually know. there are hundreds of levels, but not all of them are nice and work on the lynx, as it has some lower limit for enemies etc compared to teh dos version. and some effects are slightly different.
Turbo Laser Lynx
@Igor I found xenophobe unlimited lives and the lemmings thread: https://atariage.com/forums/topic/292986-infinite-health-xenophobe-hack/?do=findComment&comment=4305319 https://atariage.com/forums/topic/237163-aprils-fool/?tab=comments#comment-3292336 Btw. I realised that the sound issues of the online emulator (that are worse on firefox than on chrome) that we discussed a long time ago are in fact identical to Handy095 sound issues that are fixed in later versions. Igor
Added Xenophobe and Lemmings details (both in game info and cheats and tips). Thanks!
Igor
Some more updates to the site... Cookie consent, seems like the right thing to do since it's law in many countries now. Release date is clearer to read with the month shown as words, not letters. Number and players and ComLynx support are displayed separately now. Game play count is shown on the game info and play rom pages. Online emulator has a 4X magnification option now.
sage
Request: You have a prominent article abotu LGSS (https://atarigamer.com/pages/lynx-gaming-sharing-system--lgss-) I think it would be much more useful to add an article about the loaders which are included in most of the BLL based games. (and beside allow for loading of games over comlynx, even allows for remote debugging, in game screenshots etc.)
Igor
@sage if you can provide the content for it, I can publish it. BLL is something I've been meaning to write about but I just don't know enough about it to do a good job of the write up...
sage
i had written up something years ago. maybe i find it.
Igor
Thanks @sage! I've also made another update (though only tested in macOS Safari so far)...it was a user request to have the emulator be able to pop out into a separate window. So now next to the screen scale options there is a pop out option too. It re-loads the emulator in a new window and if your OS/browser allows that window to go full screen, you can even have full screen Lynx play... 1
Igor
I've made it so if there is an itch.io download link for the game, the 'Download ROM' will use that link instead of the ROM that is stored in the Atari Gamer database. This should (hopefully) drive more people to use itch downloads and maybe will turn into purchases for the devs. The downloads from itch.io are marked with the itch.io logo...
sage
For LGSS, you may add the documentation which karri postet here: https://atariage.com/forums/topic/260379-ls-upcoming-releases-2017/?do=findComment&comment=3736628
