Flash life expectancy?

I am completely onboard to purchase a Gamedrive regardless as soon as it is released in the AA Store, but I did have a question regarding the flash being used (or a few questions).

What type of flash is being used and what is the estimated life expectancy? I know this can range regarding the type of flash being used (ie: 100,000 vs 1,000,000 write cycles). I do not know and really have not investigated the internals of the Gamedrive...nor do I know if that is even available anywhere online anyway. But, I am assuming some sort of erasable/re-programmable flash is being used hence the reason games take 10-15 seconds from what I have seen in order to load.

Or maybe I am wrong and it is using RAM? I would however expect a RAM based solution to have instant load though... like the latest iteration of the Everdrives.

Any knowledge to the subject is appreciated! I work for a flash/ram company and I always like to know the life expectancy of electronic products I am looking to purchase ;)

It uses ram for games and flash for the menu.

The cartridge will outlive us all. ?
