Pokeypy
Actually, quite a few of my all-times ZX Spectrum favourites seem to be exclusive for this system: 3D Tanx (dk'tronics) 3D Tunnel Alchemist Hmm, were the "Ultimate"-titles (one of the biggest company on the Spectrum) also for other systems? Alien 8, Ant Attack (very good game), Atic Atac Ultimate. One of my favourites - you can enjoy a (very good) PC remake of Atic Atac here. Cyclone (also very good) Psion Flight Simulation (lol) Go To Jail ("Monopoly" in BASIC - not bad, though) Jetpac (Another Ultimate classic) Maggot (Centipede) Mined Out (BASIC, nevertheless very good) Penetrator Pimania Rocket Raider Scuba Dive Skooldaze (Amazing game) Wheelie (also very good!) Pokeypy
Ok, when I look up "Jetpac", Wikipedia says, it was also releases for "Commodore VIC 1001, VIC 20, VC 20; BBC Micro". The VIC 20 version for sure sucked. Same with "Manic Miner" on C64 - awful. Well, if you develop for the Spectrum (Z80a processor), you'll probably convert to Amstrad CPC464, because it can be done easily, and that way you get another market. Will probably apply to many if not most successful games. Not much use to look for really system exclusive games, that weren't ported anywhere, because it wasn't worth it, I guess. That kind of information only makes Wikipedia less trustworthy. I strongly doubt that Ultimate Play the Game made any Japanese versions of their games, which eliminates the VIC-1001. The VC-20 is just a renaming of the VIC-20 for German speaking regions. It is the exact same as a PAL VIC-20 in rest of mainland Europe. There is absolutely no point in listing it separately as a system, other than as a tongue in cheek statement and to confuse people who don't know the subject.
