Steverd
I have a group of sealed 2600 cartridges, they are a bit dusty from being in storage. What are the best way to gently clean a sealed shrink wrapped game without causing any damage? What cloth? Microfiber? What solution? Windex? Any other advice? Thank you
roadrunner
I wouldn't use Windex Maybe a paper towel or a can of compressed air?
+x=usr(1536)
Feather duster. Yes, really. It won't damage cellophane or cardboard unless you're just jabbing it into either one. Don't use anything liquid or aerosolised, or even just under pressure (i.e., compressed air). Those are really good ways to find out either a) where existing tears are in the cellophane, or b) where new ones can be created. For everything else a dry kitchen cloth should be fine.
fakecortex
I can imagine that if the dust is really caked on the plastic, a dry dusting won't clean it. I too would be weary of using liquid, but if nothing else worked, I would try a little piece of slightly wet paper towel and gently go over a section. I think I would only try this if it was totally grody tho. BTW, can you spare any Pole Positions? Or Battlezones? Or...? jk
atari181
if you get to the point where you want to use some type of liquid, A cotton swab with alcohol will work fine, as long as the cellophane is in tact.
