Definitely not as easy to evade stuff as it is in Mission X. I do really like that Activision look and style though. Absolutely, agreed. Activision did a great job on many games early on and cemented themselves in the industry very quickly. And here they are today making Call of Duty games and raking in millions. Activision, like atari, hired intellivision programmers that had experience programming intellivision. The guy that did river raid also did frog bog.
