So maybe you meant to use the background color used in the image, but Raphael's data model doesn't know anything about foreground and background colors. Each pixel just has a color. When I create a bitmap in Raphael and export it in PNG, GIMP recognizes the transparency. When I import the same PNG again in Raphael, the background gets black, independent of the currently selected colors. Could this be added?
