Omega-TI
The other day I was trying to entice one of the seniors I have coffee with to get into the TI by showing him an UberGROM board and what he would be able to do with a "starter system". Anyway he noticed the pin labeled 5V... and the question he came up with was totally out of left field, even for me. He asked if it could support a "hyper bright LED". Apparently he would want the cartridge to illuminate the keyboard while his wife sleeps! I guess he has room for a TI in his bedroom. So, if I can set him up with a cartridge that has an LED at the end of some kind of "articulated thingy" coming out of the cartridge case, he's in. W E I R D !

Omega-TI
@jedimatt42 that makes a heck of a lot more sense that sticking it in a cartridge, so it can only be used with that one cartridge... talk about limiting. I'm thinking something << like this >> plugged into a USB wall wart.
+retroclouds
I don’t know. I think it’s absolutely time for a cartridge with a mini-lcd screen built in. Thinking about it, I think I saw a cartridge for MSX or commodore that has exactly that. Was used for showing ROM information and pictures.
globeron
These single colour or multi colour leds run on 5V and is bright. I powered via USB via a RPI. But in a cabinet used an USB extender to lid the whole cabinet.
RXB
I hate the RGB lighting they put on computers! Look it is like Fins on Cars....100% useless and stupid. It is a fad and eventually will go away like chokers for men or Bell Bottoms.
