Classic computing goals for 2021

What are your personal goals related to classic computing and the videogame hobby in general?

 

I'm continuing on with slow accumulation of manuals and spare parts for Apple II, TRS-80 Pocket Computer 1,2, and 4, and vintage PC stuff.

 

Focusing on organizing all my vintage software. With emphasis on astronomy software.

Focusing on testing and verifying all my Apple II hardware.

Deduping some Apple II hardware. Keeping original childhood material.

Rebuilding a Computer-Eyes digitizer (the one with the knobs).

Doing other small stuff here and there.

Getting around to sorting through all my IIgs material.

I don't plan on adopting any new platforms other than perhaps more R-Pi's and a MiSTer.

 

Mainly it's a continuation of last year's plans.

Learn 6502 machine language.

Organize everything neatly on a desk and display case.

Buy no new computers or consoles.

I'm going to play through Nox Archaist.  It's been a fun ride so far.  

 

Finish a Miniature Golf game I'm working on for the Apple computers.  

 

Install the 6309 and 512K RAM upgrade I got for my CoCo3.  Then I don't know.  Might sell it.  

 

Adjust the yoke on my PVM.  Screen is a bit rotated.  I've just not wanted to break it open just yet.

 

Recap a bunch of stuff and either fix, or toss my other PVM.  That one has a tinted tube, but all colors are present.  Hoping it's just old components, but could be the tube.

 

Looks at 800XL in box.  Maybe get a FujiNet.

 

Get one of those wi-fi adapters that we can use to put old machines online and maybe explore PLATO.  Thomas has done a ton of great work and I've not been able to check it out.

 

Misc hardware projects that plug into an Apple.

My goals are to learn basic on my TRS-80 Model 100, recap some stuff, and to get my 486 back up and running.

Writing a C64 game in assembler.

Recapping a classic mac

Getting my SE/30 online.

Assembling a Mockingboard kit.

Not spending too much time playing Football Manager.
