Steve Mynott
I don't think Microsoft ever released Multiplan (an early spreadsheet) on the Atari 8-bit although they released it on many other systems even things like the TI-99/4A. But I'm wonder if they did build an internal port since the forward to Solid Code seems to hint at it https://t.co/jmQXdOlmLL?amp=1 and it would have been easy for them. Has anyone heard of an Atari Multiplan? I wonder why it wasn't released? Maybe there was some aversion to Atari at Microsoft over the BASIC port? +Allan
Good find. I've never heard of that. I have done a lot of Atari 8-bit research and have never come across any mention of this so my guess is it not only never made it out the door, but they couldn't get Atari interested in marketing it themselves. It would be cool if we had the Atari version. It is interesting to learn that they had either started an Atari version or even possible had a completed version. Where in the pdf did you find that reference? (too lazy to read all of it...)
