+mizapf
I'm really, really cautious with soldering work on my Geneve system, but the 32K expansion was something I found easy enough, and I did it without any problems.

I skipped the battery change today, I need some tools and a magnifying glass. @Ksarul it was rather easy to accomplish the task, but still, I double checked everything a couple of times to be sure nothing is wrong before powering up the computer.
+mizapf
When I changed the battery, I did not try to unsolder it but just cut the wires and then soldered a battery holder on the wires. The interesting thing about the 32K expansion is that the gate array pin is actually named RAMENX, intended to select this second RAM chip. No tricks; it is rather like completing the Geneve board, not doing a mod. 2
