SoundGammon
New ET game idea for the 2600: ET is sent back to Earth to gather ET carts in various warehouses, find a dump truck to load them and then take them to the landfill! Has to find Elliot to help get keys for the warehouses and money to buy gas for the dump truck! 5

carlsson
Or a light gun game where you shoot E.T. instead of ducks or bad guys.

Has to find Elliot to help get keys for the warehouses and money to buy gas for the dump truck! How about he just has to locate the mythical landfill using various gadgets and then dig it up? The game could then just be a re-skin of Raiders of the Lost Ark Edited February 9, 2021 by zzip 2
Atariperson23
Steven Spielberg told Warshaw he could just do something similar to Pac-Man...
toiletunes
This seems like hardwork.
JacobZu7zu7
Backwards. You MUST help E.T. find buried Atari carts out west, so they can be cleaned and enjoyed by all generations. Upon finding them, some will be taken back home as spare parts for homebrews. To be able to this, you must avoid the noids of new generations who want to break apart your classic games or E.T.! ? P.S. These noids usually WON'T have any good taste in music, films or even gaming. RUN! E.T! .... run. ? The hard work will pay off now

I always wonder if Spielberg knew about Alien for the 2600 when he said that.

Upon arriving, he finds out his game has been unceremoniously buried in the New Mexico desert. He then leads a massive invasion force back to Earth to exact his revenge upon humanity. 1
Jinks
Funny why someone never made an ET 2 yet. At least they made a thousand pac mans hacks.. A serious ET 2 that is actually good would sell hundreds to dorks all over the world. ?

digdugnate
the 994A had a Frogger clone that was never released but the ROM is available. It was pretty fun, I thought. https://www.videogamehouse.net/gamemain/cartsde/et/

I'm glad no E.T. games were made during the SNES era, or the N64 era. Could you imagine Super E.T. or E.T. 64?
pacman000
There was an ET game on the Game Boy Color. It's a rather standard puzzle/maze game, from what I've seen.

+Stephen
They should have done a cross promotion with Cheech & Chong when Still Smokin' came out in 1983. We could have then had E.T, the Extra Testicle getting high and hoovering up Reese's Pieces candies while chasing hotel maids.
