Good lord, @-^CrossBow^- has outdone himself. He installed a era-appropriate red button on the light sixer I sent him for the pause/palette switch button for my 2600RGB upgrade.

So. Much. Awesome.

You got that might fast! And is that not 1 but 2 7800s I see on that buffet table? And you have it working with the OSSC? I didn't make the needed changes on mine to get it working as it can be pain to do that. So I just used my Tink2x SCART to test it with before it left the 'Tower'.

I had a 7800 here and you sent me another, so for now 2 of them living here. I’m playing the 2600 with the OSSC via SCART RGB but just getting a feel for the configuration. The RGB picture on the 2600 is amazing.

Oh cool so that is the Cyan special on the right of the table then. Nice!

So far, experimenting with an OSSC vs. a RetroTink 2X-SCART, the OSSC has a substantially better picture with the 2600RGB when tweaked a bit on a new Sony TV.

Here are the OSSC settings I'm using right now with 0.88a firmware (otherwise, using firmware defaults):

Output opt. > 240p/280p proc = Line5X (this fills my display and is noticeably sharper than Line2X)

Output opt. > HDMI ITC = On (just a touch sharper)

Sampling opt. > Allow TVP HPLL2x = Off (seems a little faster with scanline changes in Line5X)

Settings from Classic Console Upscaler wiki:

Sync opt. > H-PLL Pre-Coast = 3 lines

Sync opt. > H-PLL Post-Coast = 3 lines

Settings from ikranhanka's 2600 RGB => OSSC Recommended Settings (Google Spreadsheet):

Sampling opt. > Adv. timing = 1600x240 (because of Line5X above) > H. samplerate = 2044 (modified from ikranhanka's Line2X setting)

Sampling opt. > Adv. timing = 1600x240 (because of Line5X above) > H. synclen = 198 (centers 2600RGB output on my display)

Sync opt. > Hsync tolerance = 12.15 μs

Sync opt. > Vsync tolerate = 20.30 μs

I'm not sure if this is 100% optimal yet, but damn, this is pretty amazing video output from this old circa-1978 CX2600 "Light Sixer".

Do you get any screen jitter with this set up? It looks great!!

No jitter. Rock solid and sharp as a razor.

I do have the video sync issues with some, but not all, of the usual suspects that others report with other upscalers. Battlezone is fine. But Empire Strikes Back goes a bit funky when an AT-AT is destroyed. I’m still learning about the OSSC though.

I can post a video of a game or two if you want to see something specific.
