shoestring Posted May 23, 2021 Share Posted May 23, 2021 It's much easier to swap the parts from this faulty XE into a known working machine until the working machine breaks, rather than swap good parts into a dead machine. The reason why this works better is that you might have multiple faults. So I'd be starting with the major chips first. Sally, GTIA, ANTIC, MMU, OS ROM then move on to DRAMs one by one, last but not least would be FREDDIE and other support logic.
