I left only a part of page 2 for the system.

I was surprised that the modification was so simple (just use some of the "standard" vectors of page 2 in particular).
There is of course some loss of cycles but it does not affect the game I think.

A disc version was never an option 😉.
My initial goal was to produce an XEX for 64K machines but I couldn't get the game to fit in memory. 😞
(Maybe one day an XEX for 128K machines)

IMHO it would be great to also see a full colour title screen rather than a reproduction of the low colour current one. Perhaps a graph2font, piccalo or Rastaconverted image, loaded compressed/uncompressed at the start to save space?

 

Also, what is the target min spec for the game? 64k?

 

Incidentally will there be enemy characters in it like the dragon?

 

Good luck with the project whatever you decide, looking forward to it.

 

 

 

The A8 version will be the best of all.
