I recently decided to check my childhood Jr and my brother's 4-Switch, which have been damaged for 25 and 35 years respectively. We just decided never to toss them away, just in case. And I'm so glad we didn't! After testing and checking both units, I managed to get my brother's unit working by using my Jr's TIA chip. Got mine working by using his RIOT chip. So I need them both: TIA for his and RIOT for me. I saw that I could get the RIOT's of AliExpress, but I'm a bit apprehensive doing so, considering how ICs can be faked. Also, I can't seem to find a TIA replacement anywhere, probably because it's propietary. Looking for the NTSC versions. So... not sure how those of us that try to help and repair systems are supposed to have stuff on hand if we can't get them. Only option is to have those wanting their systems fixed, to purchase the chips needed and then send them alone with the console or sent it to whomever is working on their systems after it has been found that a replacement is likely needed. easmith Posted August 13, 2021 Share Posted August 13, 2021 I have 3 chips that I am willing to part with : 10745 10750 -03 10750 - 12 I think these are CPU. RIOT , and TIA . It's been a while since I messed with this . I also do not know if these are originals or the Best Elec. replacements ( I experimented with replacing chips when my paddles were not working , but it was not the chips). send me PM if interested .
