It's an original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) case but with a DVD player stuffed inside. It would appear as though you need the remote to get the tray to open. I have no idea if this mod is complete or whether it works, other than my limited testing which showed it powers up and does display a splash screen on the TV, as seen in one of the provided pictures.
