Green3
Check this ultimate source of MC-10 software. Its author Jim Gerrie is the MC-10 guru and highly active to this day; don't miss his YouTube channel. And you should get a CCR-82. Yes, it's less reliable (belts tend to need replacement) than the CCR-81 but you don't buy an MC-10 for practical reasons. The CCR-82 is little and cute, like the MC-10, and thus a better match than the workaday CCR-81. Make sure your CCR-82 is Radio Shack-branded, not Tandy branded, so it matches nicely. As for monitors, unfortunately there are no little Radio Shack-branded CRTs in a white case, but plenty of such from other brands - 9" seems to be a common size. The Sonys of course have a nice picture (and this one was actually sold by Radio Shack) but are pricey these days. But the Emerson TC0918s are more affordable and plentiful (and having a black frame inside the white matches the MC-10 look well). While nearly all of them came long after the MC-10's lifetime (1983-84), the technology was roughly of the same (analog, CRT) generation, so eh. Radio Shack did have its own various small color CRTs in black cases, such as: 16-125 (5", 1999 Catalog p. 147) 16-246 (9", 1996 Catalog p. 100). What a shame they never offered a color version of this terrific form factor with its 7" screen and pedestal! Perfect for being high enough to peek over an MC-10 sitting at a bit of an angle for easier typing (perhaps with back feet risers put in) and/or with the 16KB RAM expansion cartridge installed (since that protrudes vertically). Or one of the Zippster Zone's MC-10 game cartridges! Edited May 16, 2023 by Green3
